HALCYON DAYS explores the artistic endeavors of famed photographer Slim Aarons, the noted photo laureate of high society, who spent six decades traveling the world for Vogue, Harpers, Town & Country, Life, Travel + Leisure, documenting the Jet Set and creative class in their native habitat, with his famed maxim ‘attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places’. The film illustrates Slim’s greater cultural impact on the creation of a new form of escapism art and probes our perception and understanding of the visual image both historically and in modern media.
